Sáhtibakósh Yádakh (Sáhtiba)

NAME - sáhtibakósh
yádakh, 'sáhtiba' [sah-TI-bah-kosh ya-DAKH, SAH-ti-bah]
AGE - 5917 (approx. 19 in surface years)
PLACE OF BIRTH - béndígenmil [bayn-DEE-gen-mil], the 'narrow passage'; a
residential section along the far west side of Atlantis, known for it's winding
waterways and bright, open air dwellings.
OCCUPATION - warrior/huntress
FAMILY - sáhtiba grew up an only child in a loving environment with her mother
and father.
tahbtohp - kérahnohk yádakh [kay-RAHN-ok ya-DAKH] (12,957 Atlantean, approx.
42 surface years old) a hunter/warrior of some small renown, when not hunting or
in battle, he helps run a small shop in the main marketplace of Atlantis
alongside his wife.
mátihm - láhrenatash yádakh [lah-REN-na-tash ya-DAKH] (12,216 Atlantean,
approx. 40 surface years old) a weaver and seamstress who specializes in exotic
dyes of cloth, she runs a small shop in the main marketplace of Atlantis selling
brightly colored cloth and woven fabrics.
HISTORY/BACKGROUND - born quite a few millennia after the great cataclysm into a
comfortable middle-class family, she has no knowledge of what exactly happened
during that time. Her parents never talk about it, nor of their time before the
cataclysm.
The only child of a hunter/warrior and seamstress/weaver, she showed a
predilection towards her father's chosen field of expertise at an early age.
By the time she reached thirteen, she could fight in both armed and unarmed
combat, knew of the use and care of all of her father's weapons and armor, and
was allowed on some of her father's less dangerous hunts. At sixteen, she was
fully initiated as an Atlantean warrior, was given her own set of custom made
weapons and armor, and began going on hunts of her own, both alone and in
groups.
Now, many, many millennia later, she is still doing much of the same. Still
considered very young by Atlantean standards (barely and adult), she still lives
happily with her parents, blissfully unaware of the conflict upon the surface
world, or of her own world's slow decline into extinction.
PERSONALITY - Extroverted, but not exceedingly so. Pragmatic and blunt,
she can always be counted on 'telling it how it is.' naturally optimistic and
not easily subdued, headstrong and curious. protective of her family and
friends, she is also very trusting and openly opinionated.
LIKES - Swimming, climbing, running, and other such activities, as well and
learning new things. She is fascinated with the old murals and frescos
commonly found throughout Atlantis; though like most Atlanteans, she is
illiterate. She also enjoys music and singing, though she is a terrible
singer.
DISLIKES - Seaweed as a food, unless it is dried. (she doesn't like the
texture.) too-sweet things, being helpless in any given situation.
FEARS - slimy things (blennophobia); small creepy crawly things, such as insects
and the like(entomophobia); and of being alone in total darkness (lygophobia.)
TALENTS - She is highly trained in both the armed and unarmed forms of Atlantean
combat, and is an excellent hunter and tracker (though still not as skilled as
her father). Exceptionally agile, she is also an excellent acrobat and
gymnast, which is apparent in her fighting styles. She is also very good
at playing stringed instruments, such as small harps (think Celtic) and lyres.
LIMITATIONS - Her headstrong and curious nature have gotten her into more
scrapes than she would like. Because of her naturally trusting nature, she
tends to be a bad judge of character, openly accepting everyone who is remotely
civil to her. Her youth and inexperience is also a deciding factor against her.
While she works well in groups, she tends to be highly opinionated, and her
annoying habit of pointing out the obvious tends to grate highly against some
people's nerves. She can also get very flustered when things don't go the
way she had planned.
SPEED - She's very fast and agile; a good short distance sprinter, but not a
long distance runner. She's also very quick and dexterous with her hands,
and excels at skills involving slight of hand.
STRENGTH - Slight and petite, she isn't the strongest of the bunch, preferring
to use speed and wits to defeat and confuse a target over brute force. She
is strong enough to pull her own weight, but she'll never be a bodybuilder.
However, she is stronger than her slender frame would seem, and is an excellent
vaulter.
INTELLIGENCE - A quick thinker and learner with a fair amount of common sense,
though she is still prone to making very unintelligent decisions and choices.
She is clever and can think on her feet, which has saved her hide more often
than not.

physical description:
note: for all of the right/left directions, it is assumed that it is her own
right or left, and not that of the viewer; ergo, if something is said to be on
her right arm, it is where it would be if it was on your own right arm.
GENDER - female
EYES - a vibrant crystalline blue-green, with a slightly epicanthric cant to
them.
HAIR - Pure white with highlights more blue than grey, worn straight in a long
tail that hangs down to her mid thighs. it is held back with two white metal
clasps, one at the base her neck and the other at the small of her back. Her
bangs are longish and parted in the center, falling lightly down past her eyes
and worn usually tucked behind the ears. She also has two momiages (long
sideburns) that hang down over her ears and brush against her clavicle
(collarbone), and are often worn either braided or clasped near her
temple with two smaller clasps and a pale blue rounded cylindrical bead, in a
pattern of 'clasp-bead-clasp' on either side of her head.
HEIGHT - 5'4", approx. 1.6 meters
WEIGHT - 114 lbs., approx. 51.7 kilos
SKIN - a light mocha
BUILD - slight and slender, petite. fine boned and long limbed.
GENERAL APPEARANCE - Attractive yet unassuming, with the delicate angular
features and high cheekbones common to most Atlantean females.
TATTOOS - A calligraphic pattern of straight/curved lines and dots that start on
the left side of her forehead, going over the eyelid and stopping level with the
upper lip, at the bottom of the cheek. A small circle about one half-inch
above the inner point of each eyebrow on the forehead; and a calligraphic
pattern of straight/curved lines and dots, similar to that of her facial tattoo,
weaving its way down the left side of her neck, past the clavicle, all the way
down the torso and leg to her ankle, and also down her left arm, ending on the
front left side of the hand where the fingers start. All of her tattoos
are in the standard atlantean pale blue.
ACCESSORIES - A dangling one and one-half inch long earring in her left ear
comprised of two slender pieces of gold connected via a tiny hoop into a single
gold stud; two small, individual gold loop earrings in her right ear. Three
simple circular anklets around her right ankle, also gold, one of which (the
middle one) has three spherical coral beads on it; and of course, her atlantean
crystal hanging around her neck, which is of the standard, 'glowy-healy-bluey-rock-on-a-string'
sort.
CASUAL CLOTHING - A pale sea green wrapped skirt that hangs down to the back of
her knees and comes up to be gathered in the centre, with a longer hanging
section folded between the legs in front, which in turn hangs down to her mid
calf (much like Kida's). A wrap around the upper torso that folds over,
covering her right shoulder, made of the same pale sea green colour.
HUNTING/COMBAT GEAR - In addition to the casual wear that she is normally
attired in, for hunting or war she dons long créme furred bracers on her
forearms and similarly furred leg guards 'round her upper calves, as well as the
following armor: A spiked metal arm guard on her outer left forearm, a
plated metal shoulder guard on her left shoulder and upper arm that straps
across her upper torso underneath her right armpit, and a plated metal hip guard
worn on her right hip which straps across her hips and waist; all of which are
strapped in place with leather thongs dyed a pale green, slightly darker than
that of her clothes. In addition, she also wears the standard protective
and concealing Atlantean facemask, and is armed with both a short curved dagger
and the standard Atlantean polearm, which is long with an angular crescent
curved blade at the top for slicing, and shod with metal at the bottom for
bludgeoning (much like a blunt mace), and a short curved hook just above the top
arm hold.
Her facemask is long, with exaggerated, angular features, and is a deep blue in
color. The glowing eyes are triangular with the points facing downward,
and they each sport individual eyebrow ridges that are thin and slightly wider
in length than the face itself, slightly poking out past the temples. The
forehead is high and tapers into a set of highly defined cheekbones, and the
nose is also long and thin, with a noticeable ridge going down the length of the
center. The lower part of the face is again long and lean,
tapering down to the bottom of the mask, and is overall much thinner than the
cheekbones, showing a sizable contrast in facial structure. The glowing
mouth is trapezoidal, with the base towards the bottom of the lower jaw. There
are four long, rectangular teeth in the upper mouth, and the lower jaw has two
long curved canines framing the sides of the mouth with four more long,
rectangular teeth set in-between the canines. It also has two
"horns" that are perched on the top of the mask, curving back and
streamlining themselves along the thick créme fur. The facemask also has
the same tattoo markings as it's wearer painted on it.
FORMAL CLOTHING - A simple deep green full skirt; a low cut, long sleeved shirt
that leaves the shoulders and midriff bare and hangs slightly over her wrists in
the same shade of green as her skirt; and a long, flowing, deep blue-green sari
draped over one shoulder and about her figure. The hem of the skirt, the
shirt (the neckline, wrists, and hem) and the sari are all trimmed in vibrant
gold. She also wears simple beaded thong sandals.
